More From People Who Can Draw
So, Deedeete did another great picture of Penny, being stalked by a shadowy Cyberman. I love this one, I think it's even better than the last one.
I might even nick the setup of the image for the next comic. Although somehow I think Shadowy Sketchians will be less forboding than shadowy handdrawn Cybermen...
As before, all credit goes to Deedeete for this one! Go check out her deviantart already!

"What if Penny and the Doctor were drawn by somebody who actually CAN draw?"
Holy crap! It's text! In a blog post! Instead of a comic! Wierd, huh?
Here's some art done by a very talented artist, known as Deedeete on forums, but probably better known as Deborah. Unless people like calling her Deedeete. Anyway, she did a quick sketch of Penny and the Doctor, and I really liked it. Especially Penny, who looked great as a realistic character rather than my ridiculous attempts at art.
She also did sketchy sketchians. Urr, if that sentence makes any sense.
I keep meaning to try and incorporate that profile one into my style, but can't get it to work...

An Introduction
So, you've stumbled upon this blog, one way or another, and probably a few thoughts have popped into your mind.
Provided they weren't 'where's the back button?' or 'how do I close this window?', then they probably relate to trying to work out what this is.
Short answer, it's a webcomic. On a blog, because I don't know of any better way of posting it. Slightly longer answer is it's a serial Doctor Who webcomic. If you don't know what Doctor Who is, then you probably haven't found this blog. If you have, and still don't know, then go and find out, 'cause it's great.
The idea is to tell a fictional 'season' of adventures, except with plenty of comedy, and using cutesy characters that I call 'sketchians'. Despite the fact they're anything but sketched.
Upon seeing said sketchians, you might find yourself saying, 'you are aware you can't draw, nameless blog writer, aren't you?'. Yes, yes I am. They originally came about as a cheap way to enter weekly art competitions despite having no skill as an artist. However, at some point I wanted to try doing a narrative comic, and this is it. Believe me, I know the art's embaressing.
So, what's the point? I like telling stories, and the comic format is fun to use. This particular comic involves the Doctor, a new companion, and hopefully many new adventures. They should hopefully always have plenty of humour, but I want some adventure too. I don't know where I'll end up with this, or if anybody will ever read it, but if you have stumbled across this site and not yet run the heck away, then take a look around.
If nothing else, it'll make you feel better about your own drawing abilities.
